How to measure to find the perfect bra size?

How to measure your band / chest size?

You will need to be wearing a non-padded bra or no bra at all. Then standing upright place the measuring tape under your breasts, which is where your bra band would usually sit. Making sure the tape is parallel measure all the way round from the front to the back, pull the tape firmly to take an accurate measurement in inches. Please ensure you allow your arms to hang down naturally and breathe as usual.

If you find that your measurement is between sizes then you need to round down the size, for example if you measure 30 1/2 inches then round down to 30 inches.

Then you need to add the following to calculate your band size:-

If your measurement is an even number - Add 4 inches

If your measurement is an odd number - Add 5 inches

This will then calculate your band/chest size. For example, if your band/chest measures at 32 inches you will add 4 inches which would make you a 36.

How to measure your cup size?

You will need to measure around the fullest part of your bust in inches (at nipple level), ensuring that the tape measure is pulled firmly taught and straight but not over stretched in order not to deform or squeeze the breasts. When measuring your cup size you should always round up, so if you measure 35 ½ inches then round up to 36 inches. The number of inches difference between your band/chest measurement and cup measurement will equal what cup size you are.

Next, subtract your band size after adding the required 4 or 5 inches from this bust measurement. The difference denotes your cup size. 0 = AA; 1 = A; 2 = B; 3 = C; 4 = D; 5 = DD; 6 = E; 7 = F; 8 = FF.

Every inch difference equals one cup size up. For example:

If your Band Size after adding the required 4 or 5 inches is 34 inches and the fullest part of your bust is 37 inches you are an C CUP - So you would ideally order a 34C

If your Band Size after adding the required 4 or 5 inches is 36 inches and the fullest part of your bust is 40 inches you are an D CUP - So you would ideally order a 36D

If your Band Size after adding the required 4 or 5 inches is 36 inches and the fullest part of your bust is 41 inches you are an DD CUP - So you would ideally order a 36DD

Please note our recommended bra size is a good starting point to finding the correct fitting bra that will fit you perfectly but the best size for you may vary based on the bra brand, style or other factors.
